Dream: Unconventional Seasons
Friday, March 20th, 2026 5:14am

In this dream I'm at a convention, or meeting of friends and other groups that I'm a part of, that was just getting started as everyone was still gathering, and things hadn't really kicked off yet.  What's funny is, this was taking place in early to the middle of winter, and there was snow on the ground, and it was that nasty wet kinda cold kind of weather, but nobody seemed to mind.  Anyhow, I was there walking through the convention hall as people we getting set up, getting their booths in place, meeting, greeting, etc, and I was doing it completely shirtless with shorts on, despite the cold.  It was kinda funny too because as I was walking I felt I had to pee.  So I asked where the bathroom was, and someone told me.  Anyhow, as I'm headed that way I noticed that there was this big barn door in front of me leading to the outside.  One of the vendors at the convention, wanting to prank me, told me to walk outside, dressed like I was, as he knew that would cause me to pee myself.  Knowing this, I wisely stayed inside and did NOT go through the door.

Anyhow, after taking care of business I did eventually walk outside, now properly dressed, and ran into an old friend of mine, at which point the two of us began laughing and talking as we took a gentle stroll across the property.  And as we're walking I noticed that there was this weird sorta split screen effect going on nearby.  My friend explained it to me as some strange ability that allowed you to see two different seasons, side by side, in real time.  In my case it was fall, which we'd just come out of, and winter, which we were currently in.  I then played around with it for a bit, as did he, until his locked in at both halves being winter.  I tinkered with it a little more and somehow kicked myself out of that point in time and forward to the following fall.  I also found myself, not at the convention anymore, but on the road to my old childhood home.  As I walked I noticed that there were fruits, and berries, and grapes alongside the road.  The thing that was interesting about the grapes is that they were huge, almost as big as pears  And even more interesting, you could see inside them and see that they were filled with delicious looking grape juice.  It was almost like they were bottles more than actual berries because they had this this air gap at the top of them on the inside.

Another thing that stood out to me was that, despite how big and far along they were, there was no sign that they were going to ripen anytime soon.  They just kept growing, and growing, and growing, and getting bigger, and juicier, but never ripening.  As I'm examining this, I remember my dad coming up to me and I asked him what he thought of this, and even he wasn't entirely sure.  I then remember plucking one of the grapes, and feeling how heavy it was in my hands.  I then cut part of the top off to expose the soft, juicy flesh inside and took a careful bite as I wasn't sure if this was one of those exotic breeds that was poisonous.  When nothing happened, I gave it to my dad and he tried it.  The taste of the grape wasn't how you'd expect for something unripe.  Instead of the tangy, somewhat bitter taste that unripe green grapes have, this had no bitter, or tangy taste.  instead they tasted like sweet, fresh squeezed grape juice just like you'd expect to drink on a hot summer's day, with a very mild, sweet and amazing flavor.

As I stood there eating that grape, I remember turning around and noticing that nothing else was ripening either.  Like, we were late enough in the year that the leaves should've started turning, the corn and beans ripening, other vegetables ripening, the wheat and oats already out of the field, etc.  But literally nothing was ripe.  It was all still very fresh and green like mid summer or early spring with no sign of them maturing to full term anytime soon despite the lateness of the season and the year.  The dream ended there.

EDIT - Possible Interpretation:

“I am carrying you through an unusual season. Do not be ashamed of your vulnerability, and do not be baited by foolish voices. I am teaching you discernment about times and seasons. What I am growing in your life, and around you, may look delayed and unfinished, but it is not barren. The fruit is real, weighty, and already sweet. Do not confuse lack of visible ripening with lack of My blessing. Harvest will come at the appointed time, and you will taste provision before judgment, but that is not for now.” (ie, the "judgment" here speaks of the world, whereas I'll be protected from that and provided for)
