For anyone who still thinks that print is going to survive another 10 years or more as the primary method of publishing, think again. There more and more proof coming in every day that says
ebooks are now king, completely outselling print books hands down across the board.
Does that mean print is now consigned to the recycle bin? Nope. Just like audiobooks have been for some time, print books will increasingly become a niche market in the coming years as ebooks continue to take over. Authors will still be able to sell their print books to a select list of buyers. But the vast majority will find that the only avenue available to them anymore will be digital.
Personally it saddens me to see print die like this, as I feel it kills a great interactive way for authors to meet their potential customers and readers, but at the same time it opens them up to a worldwide audience. So there's pros and cons to everything, and this is no exception.
