Current Book Status Report for August

Well, I think it's time to make another update on my books, what's happening with them, and where things are at.  Sure, not much changes over 2 months, but enough does that I figure it's time to make another announcement.  So here's the latest progress report on each of my books and their current state.  This update will include the status of all books, both released and under construction.

Earthfleet:
This saga is complete.  Books 4 and 5 (empire rising and first dawn) are officially released and in the wild.  Signed copies will be available as soon as our first printing comes in from the printers.  (ie, sometime in the next 2-3 weeks) Retail copies will be available as soon as they work their way through the book distribution bureaucracy.  How long will that be?  I'm not sure, but it shouldn't be much more than a few months.  So start watching for them at B&N and other stores come about October.

Land of the Lions:
The four books of this series are as follows (this includes manuscript statuses):

1.  Lion in the Wind (completed, awaiting publication)
2.  Lion of the Earth (final drafts in progress)
3.  Lion on the Water (mid-level drafts in progress)
4.  Lion and the Fire (rough draft in progress)

This book series is presently still a "work in progress" and isn't scheduled to be released until all four books reach "completed" status.  I'm doing this a little differently from my Earthfleet saga as I'm writing the entire series first before publishing them.  ETA for completion is the 1st of next year.  If they're done before that, I'll let everyone know.  As for where and who they'll be published with, that's up in the air.  I'm hoping for a big house or an agent to pick me up, but we'll see where they land and where God wants them to go.

Christian Books:
Here's the status of all my Christian booklets currently in progress, or due out in the near future.

1.  The Great Commission - This book is done and in the wild.  Signed copies will be available soon.  Retail copies should be available by September.
2.  Simple Steps to Life, Liberty and Happiness - (rough draft in progress) This booklet is aimed towards unbelievers and is designed to be a witnessing tool for introducing people to Christ and getting them started on their new life (if they get saved).
3.  Revival - (concept stage) This is a booklet that is designed to instruct Christians on what they need to do to have true revival in their lives, as well as this nation.
4.  Untitled Work - (concept stage) I have a new untitled work I've added to my "todo" list of writing that is a collection of short stories and parables with a Christian message designed to teach, encourage, and grow believers in their faith, as well as introduce unbelievers to the love and truth of Christ.

The Dreamland Articles:
This series is classified as "finished" and all books are in the wild.  As of right now all the copies of these books I set aside for signing are sold out, so there will be no more signed copies at this time.  However, if you have an unsigned copy of either book 1 or 2, I will gladly sign it for you.

Kids
I have one proposed book on the docket called "The Battling Mice of Mouseville" that will be designed for young readers ages 5 and up.  The story centers around a little town of Mouseville, a colony of mice deep in the forest who must struggle to survive amidst harrowing dangers, and will gain some unusual friends along the way, some of which were once their mortal enemies.  It'll be a fun read that will teach children many exciting lessons, including my favorite, "Don't judge a book by its cover", or in their case, "Don't judge a bird by its feathers."

Experimental Novels
All experimental novels are on hold at this time.  I was going to move forward with a couple, but other responsibilities have made that impossible at this time, so I'm putting these on hold for the time being until I have more freetime to tinker with them.  When I do, I'll update everyone so you know to watch for them.  *OR* I could just surprise all of you and release them suddenly without any notice.  (ooo! cliffhanger!  lol)

Conclusion
Well, that's my latest report.  My next update, depending on how things shake out with my books, will come sometime in October or November.  So stay tuned and I'll let everyone know where things are and what's happening with my books, my writing, and all my other creative endeavors.
