  Hello! My name is Steve Lake, and I'm a very prolific writer! ("Hello, Steve!" replied the support group for prolific writers) hehe. As you can tell I try to have at least a reasonable sense of humor.  Humor is good, because if you don't have it, you'll either go crazy, or you'll end up writing books.
Oh, wait. That'd doesn't work. 
In all seriousness though, I do enjoy writing. I started way back when I was a child, but didn't really start doing this seriously until 1992 while I was in the army. Since then I've been working continuously to improve myself with a goal to share all of my stories with the world at large, because I love writing, but I love seeing others smile and enjoy the stories I write.
That's because I'm a firm believer in taking what you do best and sharing it with others. In my case that's writing. I do it because I love writing, as well as sharing those stories with others. So grab one of my novels, find a comfy chair, and immerse yourself in the worlds these books bring you to.
So where do I get all of these interesting and fun ideas? Well, being a sci-fi author, it helps to also be a sci-fi and fantasy addict. I love many of the great authors, such as JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, Orson Scott Card, Larry Niven and others, as well as many of the great movies and TV series, including Star Wars, Star Trek, Star Gate, Eureka, Babylon 5, and many more.
It was because of these great shows and authors that I was inspired to become a writer and share the bountiful wealth of my imagination with the world. So feel free to check out any of my books, or every facet and corner of this website, as I know it will be a fun adventure for all!
